Ian Bostridge’s extraordinary international career has taken him to the foremost concert halls, orchestras and opera houses in the world. Synonymous with the works of Schubert and Britten, his recital career has taken him to the Salzburg, Edinburgh, Munich, Vienna, Aldeburgh and Schwarzenberg Schubertiade Festivals and to the main stages of Carnegie Hall, the Bayerische Staatsoper, La Monnaie and Teatro alla Scala. In opera, Ian has received particular praise for his interpretation of Aschenbach in Death in Venice at the Deutsche Oper & Peter Quint in The Turn of the Screw for Teatro alla Scala. His recordings have won all the major international record prizes and been nominated for 15 Grammys.

Ian has held artistic residencies at leading venues including the Vienna Konzerthaus, Wigmore Hall and the Barbican, as well as the Schwarzenberg Schubertiade. He has also appeared in special series at Carnegie Hall, the Amsterdam Concertgebouw and with the Seoul Philharmonic Orchestra. He has collaborated with major orchestras such as the Berliner Philharmoniker, Wiener Philharmoniker and the London Symphony Orchestra, among others, working with distinguished conductors including Sir Simon Rattle, Daniel Barenboim and Seiji Ozawa.

An internationally celebrated tenor, author, and scholar, Ian Bostridge studied philosophy at the University of Cambridge and earned a PhD in history from the University of Oxford, where he later taught. His publications include Schubert’s Winter Journey: Anatomy of an Obsession (2014) and Song and Self (2023). He was appointed a CBE in the 2004 New Year’s Honours.

Hankyeol Yoon is the winner of the Herbert von Karajan Young Conductors Award at the 2023 Salzburger Festspiele. He has since enjoyed a string of major successes with some of the leading orchestras around the world, returning to several in the same season as his debut, including Maggio Musicale Fiorentino, Münchner Philharmoniker, and Orchestre National de Belgique.

The 2025/26 season also saw Hankyeol step in at short notice to conduct the Orchestre Symphonique de Montréal and Orquesta Sinfónica de Galicia, receiving many glowing reviews for both appearances. He stepped in at short notice to conduct the latter on their Korean tour in September 2025 and will return in July 2026 and beyond. He also took the podium at short notice with the Orchestre Symphonique de Montréal to great acclaim.

Hankyeol is in regular demand from orchestras in his native South Korea. This season he returned to the Seoul Philharmonic Orchestra for his subscription debut and led the orchestra at their annual Bukseoul Dream Forest Park Concert. Other returns include the Korean National Symphony Orchestra and the Pohang International Music Festival. Last season, he made his LA Phil debut, closing their subscription series, and his Symphonieorchester des Bayerischen Rundfunks debut, conducting the ARD Competition finals. Other recent highlights include the Mozarteumorchester Salzburg, Orchestre Philharmonique de Luxembourg, ORF Radio-Symphonieorchester Wien, the Bern Symphony Orchestra, and the George Enescu International Festival. A prize-winning composer, he opened his Salzburg Festival debut and his Seoul Philharmonic return with the premiere of his own composition, Grium. Hankyeol is based in Munich.

Hailed by CNN as "one of the top ensembles of today,” Sejong Soloists has performed internationally on the world’s major stages, and on invitation from prestigious U.S. venues including Carnegie Hall and the Kennedy Center. Since its inception 32 years ago, the orchestra has performed 700 concerts in more than 120 cities around the world. Sejong Soloists served as the Honorary Ambassador of the PyeongChang 2018 Olympic Games and ensemble-in-residence at the Aspen Music Festival for nine seasons.

Sejong Soloists was established as a string orchestra in New York in 1994, consisting of eleven young artists invited by Hyo Kang, renowned violin professor at the Juilliard School. Sejong Soloists has ventured and grown with bold performances and repertoires ranging from classics of the chamber music canon to a plethora of contemporary works, including 17 world premieres.
