세계적인 현악 앙상블로서의 입지를 확고히 다져온 세종솔로이스츠의 실내악 시리즈. 음악사적으로 가치있는 작품이나 작곡가들을 조망하는 독창적이고 참신한 프로그램을 선보여 관객들에게 깊이 있는 음악적 여정을 선사한다.
이번 공연을 관통하는 주제는 한국 현대음악계의 거장 ‘강석희’이다. 작곡가이자 기획자로, 그리고 교수로 활약했던 강석희의 서거 5주기를 맞아 한국 현대음악사에서의 그의 다양한 역할에 대해 반추해본다. 강석희의 대표작 외에도 제자인 진은숙의 작품, 강석희가 존경한 베토벤의 작품 등이 연주된다.
“새로운 것을 추구한다는 점에서 저는 베토벤을 최고의 작곡가라고 봐요. 베토벤은 작품번호 처음부터 끝까지 매번 다른 곡을 작곡했어요. 비슷한 곡을 쓰지 않았습니다.”

The Sejong Soloists Chamber Music Series, presented by the world-class chamber orchestra Sejong Soloists, highlights historically significant works and composers through innovative and creative programs, offering audiences a deeply enriching musical experience.
This year’s performance is dedicated to the music of Sukhi Kang, a highly esteemed composer of Korean contemporary music, as well as a music director and professor. Marking the fifth anniversary of his passing, the ensemble reflects on his legacy and the various roles he played in the history of Korea’s contemporary classical music. The program features major works by Sukhi Kang, along with compositions by his former student and highly accomplished composer, Unsuk Chin, as well as works by Beethoven, whom Kang greatly admired.
